Polyester (PE) monofilament

Polyester suture is a monofilament sterile non-absorbable suture material. It easily passes through tissues due to its low coefficient of friction and causes minimal tissue reaction. It is highly elastic, reducing the risk of tissue cutting during swelling. Surgical threads made from polyester are supplied with atraumatic needles.

Application: Polyester is widely used for suturing and ligating soft tissues, including neurosurgical, ophthalmological, cardiovascular, and microsurgical procedures. It is ideal for cutaneous wound closure in general and plastic surgery. Its main properties include exceptional elasticity, flexibility, smoothness, and softness, making it extremely convenient for knotting, forming smooth and reliable knots. It easily passes through tissues.
