Braided Polyamide suture is a synthetic, Braided, sterile suture material that is non-absorbable, coated with wax or silicone. Braided Polyamide has a smooth surface and causes minimal tissue reactivity. Surgical sutures made from Braided Polyamide are supplied with atraumatic needles, as well as separate ligatures of various lengths without needles.
Specifications:
In vivo tensile strength retention: Due to progressive hydrolysis of polyamide in a living organism, a gradual decrease in tensile strength may occur over time. The loss of strength is more than 15% per year. Metabolites of polyamide are gradually eliminated from the body;
Packaging: Braided Polyamide suture material is supplied in a sterile airtight package with or without a needle in the form of a ligature;
Sterilization method: Braided Polyamide suture material is sterilized with ethylene oxide;
Application: Braided Polyamide is widely used for suturing and ligating soft tissues, including neurosurgical, ophthalmological, cardiovascular, and microsurgical procedures. It is ideal for cutaneous wound closure in general and plastic surgery. The main properties of nylon include flexibility, smoothness, and softness, making it extremely convenient for knotting, forming smooth and reliable knots. It easily passes through tissues.
