Chromic Catgut. Pseudomonofilament

Chromic Catgut suture material is a sterile absorbable suture material. Chromic Catgut is made from purified collagen derived from the submucosa of the small intestine of cattle, which is treated with chromium salts. Chromic Catgut surgical threads are supplied with atraumatic needles, as well as separate ligatures of various lengths without needles.

Absorption rate and retention of strength on rupture in vivo: After 20 days, Chromic Catgut suture material retains over 50% of its initial strength. Enzymatic absorption is completed within 70 days or more;

Packaging: Chromic Catgut suture material is supplied in an alcohol solution, in a double sterile package with or without a needle;

Sterilization method: Catgut is sterilized by irradiation;

Field of application: Chromic Catgut surgical threads are used for approximation and/or ligation of soft tissues, including surgical, urological, gynecological, and traumatological procedures.
