Combined meshes

Composite mesh implants made of knitted three-dimensional mesh from polypropylene monofilament or polyester multifilament. They are coated with a smooth polymer film with micropores. The choice of smoothness degree of the ventral surface of the implant depends on specific conditions. It is possible to use an ultrasmooth film of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with a thickness of 75 μm and pores of 0.3 μm or a thinner film of low-density polyethylene with enlarged pores up to 300 μm. The mesh side of the implant ensures high adhesion and directed ingrowth of connective tissue. The low profile and softness of the mesh implant allow for easy manipulation during laparoscopic repair. Welded edges prevent mesh exposure and minimize seroma formation.
